It’s time to revisit Belize so I can account for my “B” country!
My best friend Deb mentioned last Christmas she was going to Belize and wondered who wanted to join her. I said “I’m in!” without hesitation.
Deb planned the trip brilliantly. We travelled to four locations so we got to see different parts of the country. Deb knew several people that had travelled to Belize so she arranged the trip based on their collective highlights.
We started our trip in the interior, near Belmopan, to enjoy the caves and ruins. Then we travelled to Placencia, a long isthmus on the Atlantic Ocean that we fell in love with. We ended the trip with stays on two islands: Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker. Ambergris Caye is a busy island with golf carts jamming the roads! And Caye Caulker is a laid back island that doesn’t even have paved roads. I would recommend this itinerary to anyone traveling to Belize.
For the next week or so I’ll be posting the emails I sent to family and friends from Belize. Then I will officially have accounted for A, B, and C before the year’s end! I’m already thinking about D.
